Getting Started

What is Kickflip?

Kickflip helps you discover the best things happening around Seattle — concerts, dinners, comedy, gallery openings, hidden gems — before you miss them. Just tell our chat what you're in the mood for, and we'll surface stuff most people never hear about.

Is Kickflip free to use?

Yes — browsing, searching, and saving events is completely free. Creating and publishing your own events is also free, and creators keep 100% of ticket revenue (standard Stripe processing fees still apply).

What cities does Kickflip cover?

We're currently focused on Seattle, WA — including Capitol Hill, Ballard, Fremont, Belltown, Pioneer Square, Wallingford, West Seattle, and the International District. We plan to expand to other cities soon.

Finding Events

How does the chat search work?

Just type what you're in the mood for — "rooftop jazz this weekend", "free outdoor yoga near Capitol Hill", "something fun for two on Saturday night" — and Kickflip's AI finds matching events from our live catalog. No filters, no menus, just natural language.

How current is the event catalog?

Our catalog is refreshed every couple of days. We pull from local venues, event organizers, and creator listings across Seattle, so new events show up regularly.

Can I save events to check out later?

Yes — tap the heart icon on any event card to save it. Your saved events live in your profile and sync across devices when you're signed in.

What event categories are available?

Music, Arts, Food & Drink, Wellness, Outdoor, Comedy, Hidden Gems, and Sports. You can describe any combination in the chat and we'll find the best match.

Do you cover Seattle sports?

Yes — upcoming home games for the Kraken, Mariners, Storm, Sounders, Seahawks, Reign, and Seawolves show up automatically, along with FIFA World Cup 2026 matches at Lumen Field. We pull schedules straight from each league.

Where do I find tickets I've purchased?

Tap "My Tickets" from the menu (or visit kickflip.co/tickets) — you'll find your upcoming and past tickets there, each with a QR code to show at the door.

Creating & Selling Events

How do I list my event on Kickflip?

Create a free account, then tap "Create Event" in the menu. Add your event title, date, location, description, and optional image — your event goes live immediately and becomes discoverable through our chat and browse pages.

Can I charge for tickets?

Yes. When creating your event, set a ticket price and Kickflip handles checkout, payment processing, and ticket delivery. Payouts go directly to your connected Stripe account, and you keep 100% of the ticket revenue (standard Stripe processing fees apply).

How do I manage my guest list?

Your Creator Dashboard shows all ticket purchasers, their contact info, and check-in status. You can export the guest list as a CSV, and on event day you can tap to check guests in right from your phone.

Can I edit or cancel my event after publishing?

You can edit your event details anytime before it starts. If you need to cancel, attendees are automatically notified and refunded — note that refunds close 24 hours before the event start time.

Account & Privacy

How do I sign in?

Kickflip uses Google sign-in — there's no separate password to remember. Tap the sign-in button in the menu and continue with your Google account. Your saved events and preferences will sync across any device you sign in on.

How do I delete my account or my data?

Go to your Profile page and scroll to the bottom — you'll find a "Delete Account" option. This permanently removes your account and all associated data. For questions about data retention, email support@kickflip.co.

Is my payment information secure?

All payments are processed by Stripe — Kickflip never stores your card details. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified, the highest level of payment security.
