Most of us know our coffee by the bag. Seattle Coffee Festival® puts the people who roasted it on the other side of the table, pouring samples and answering questions.
The festival is run by Craft Hospitality LLC, which has been producing coffee festivals since 2013, starting in New York City. Seattle was an obvious stop.

Coffee lovers and roasters, one room
The format is simple: walk the tables, taste, ask questions.
It brings coffee lovers and the people behind their favorite beans together in one room. You can taste different coffees, ask the roasters questions and discover businesses you might otherwise never encounter.— Craft Hospitality LLC
Included with admission. Move from table to table and compare roasts side by side.
The people who sourced and roasted the beans are the ones behind the tables. Ask them anything.
A soundtrack for the session while you work your way around the hangar.
The organizer's advice: skip the names you already know for a while and try the ones you don't.
Coffee tastings, conversations with the roasters and live music. Take time to explore unfamiliar tables — you might find your new favorite coffee.— Craft Hospitality LLC
No coffee vocabulary required
You don't have to know a washed process from a natural to have a good time here. The festival is built for enthusiasts and for people who just like a good cup in the morning.
Both enthusiasts and casual coffee drinkers. You don't need to know technical coffee terminology to enjoy tasting, learning and meeting people.— Craft Hospitality LLC
Who's pouring
A few names from the current lineup.
New this year: new roasters, seasonal and limited-edition coffees to try, and a full weekend. For the first time, the festival runs both Saturday and Sunday.
Leave with a few new roasters
The goal goes past one weekend. The organizer hopes people walk out with names to keep buying from all year.
A stronger connection to the local coffee community — and a few new roasters to support throughout the year.— Craft Hospitality LLC
