Picture a perfect Tacoma evening at Cheney Stadium: the sun going down over the outfield, a beer-and-wine garden buzzing, kids chasing autographs along the rail — and a couple of Super Bowl champions stepping up to the plate with a softball bat instead of a football. That's the Seattle All-Star Classic, and on July 11 it's back for year five. We're proud to say Kickflip is along for the ride.

The news

Kickflip is the 2026 Seattle All-Star Classic's Community Outreach Partner

Some events you cover. Some you join. When we found out what the Seattle All-Star Classic actually is — a star-studded, family-friendly celebrity softball game built around giving back — it wasn't a hard call. We're teaming up as the Classic's Community Outreach Partner for 2026: a celebration of community, culture, and sport that brings athletes, creators, and local businesses together in one place. Exactly the kind of night Kickflip was built to send you to.

Your hosts

Two of Seattle's Super Bowl heroes are running the show

This year's Classic is hosted by two names Seahawks fans won't soon forget. Rashid Shaheed arrived midway through the 2025 season and turned into a one-man momentum machine on Seattle's Super Bowl run — three return touchdowns, including the momentum-flipping return against the Rams and the game-opening strike versus the 49ers in the playoffs. A former First-Team All-Pro and two-time Pro Bowler, he plays like the field is on fire.

Uchenna Nwosu has been a pillar of Seattle's defense — and its veteran heartbeat — since 2022. He capped the defining moment of the season with a pick-six in the Super Bowl. Now both are trading the gridiron for the diamond, and they're bringing the same energy.

Anytime you can use your platform to bring people together and support the community, it's meaningful. I'm proud to help host this year and be part of something bigger than the game.Uchenna Nwosu
I've heard a lot about the energy around this event, and I'm ready to experience it firsthand. It's going to be a fun, competitive matchup, and I'm looking forward to getting out there and putting on a show for the fans.Rashid Shaheed

The lineup doesn't stop at the hosts. Past Classics have drawn Seahawks legends like Top-50-all-time linebacker Lofa Tatupu and entertainers like comedian-actor Nate Jackson — the kind of roster where the autograph line is half the fun.

More than a game

A ballgame with a community spine

Founded in 2021, the Classic was built on a simple mission: create transformative events that support and empower the community — bringing athletes, celebrities, local business owners, and community leaders together to raise awareness and resources for the people doing the work on the ground.

In year five, that shows up as the "Filling the Gap" initiative — spotlighting South Sound nonprofits across five areas that matter: education, youth sports, leadership development, economic empowerment, and food & family security. There's also a Salute to Service drive sending tickets to service members, veterans, and their families. It's part game, part block party, part fundraiser — which is exactly why we wanted in.

What the day feels like

Come for the softball. Stay for the whole block party.

The headliners are the Celebrity All-Star Softball Game and the Home Run Derby — pro athletes and local celebrities swinging for the fences at one of the region's best ballparks. But the day is built for everyone: vendor booths, a Children's Play Area, live music, a Beer & Wine Garden, and private suites for groups and corporate parties. Bring the family. Bring your glove.
